(1) Two news headlines on the featured pictures, one above, and one below about Nigeria’s First Lady, are both on the same topic of Nigeria’s National Library, but in two different perspectives.
(2) Repeatedly, for several years, federal government budget appropriations for a National Library project were submitted to, and approved by corrupt Nigeria’s National Assembly. Repeatedly, the huge funds are squandered by corrupt rulers. Repeatedly, the National Assembly abdicated its oversight duty to hold the corrupt rulers accountable for looting the library funds. It’s ALLEGED that the loot-makers who are called lawmakers parkook in the sharing of the looted funds. No wonder, the loot-makers have continued to repeatedly approve funds for the same National Library that never gets built, meeeeeeeen!!!
(3) Now, the current Nigeria First Lady, Madam Remi Tinubu launched a public fundraising campaign for the same National Library that had been repeatedly funded with tax payers money but was never built due to corruption and looting, allegedly in connivance with the loot-makers who are called lawmakers.
The second news caption below talks about a group that has sued First Lady Remi Tinubu in court to account for the 20 billion naira that she raised for the library. In all honesty, that suit makes no doggone sense to me at all. The said money is not public funds. As I see it, if anybody should demand the First Lady to account for the funds, it should be the individual Nigerians who were foolish enough to contribute to the library funds. If the First Lady scammed them, it’s their doggone problem. If I was to be the judge in the case, I would tell the people who filed the suit to mind their doggone business, meeeeeeeen!!!
If you ask me, or even as you ain’t asking me yet, I still tell ya, it’s a stupidly misdirected lawsuit. The people who instituted it should have sued the civil servants who have been stealing all the funds that were repeatedly appropriated and released for the library, along with the so-called lawmakers who have been conniving with them, meeeeeeeen!!!
