I am Harry Agina, and here is my thematic question for this commentary: Can President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria look Nigerians in Nigeria in the eye today and say that he truly wants to fulfill his 2023 election campaign promise to give them electricity?
Here is my own thematic answer to my thematic question: Sure, Nigerian politicians and rulers are quick to make false promises. So, President Tinubu may still claim that he wants to fulfill his 2023 election campaign promise on electricity improvement. However, going by the developments in the sector, including Mr. President’s recent acts, any more promise he makes about electricity reform would be insincere. Renewed Hopelessness in electricity supply is what Nigerians are getting today, and there is no hope for improvement in the near future, meeeeeeeen!!!
