NEWS HEADLINE: “NIGERIA LAWMAKERS PLAN A CONFERENCE ON INSECURITY IN NIGERIA”
Greetings!
Obviously, wherever you find number 5 of anything, there must be numbers 1 to 4 lurking somewhere nearby. Yap, four times in the past, I discussed the fact that Nigeria is a country where political rulers are busy talking, and talking, and talking, forever, about problems that are destroying the country, rather than implement simple, obvious solutions to the problems.
This time, I quote the recent comment of Nigeria Senate President Godswill Akpabio, that “NIGERIA IS BLEEDING.” Yes, indeed, Fulani terrorists are executing ethnic cleansing genocide against various communities across Nigeria, and Nigeria federal lawmakers are busy PLANNING unproductive, money-sqaundering security conferences. As usual, they will talk, and talk, and talk, without achieving anything, meeeeeeeen!!!
Nigeria rulers have staged such senseless security conference over a gazillion times in the past, and nothing ever came out of them. The more conferences they orchestrate, the less solutions they implement, and the more the country’s insecurity escalates. Mind you, every Tom, Dick, and Harry knows the solutions to the problem, including this very Harry who is telling you this story 😃 😊 But the self-serving rulers refuse to implement them because of their selfish gains!!!
For instance, every right thinking person knows the security advantages of State and Community Police structure in a Federalism, over the stupid, inefficient, self-serving centralized police system that our rulers practice in Nigeria today. Now, Nigeria federal lawmakers are again planning to embark on another senseless conference. You would be shocked to know how much money they squander on such senseless and fruitless extravaganzas.
