Greetings from Harry Agina!
I refer to the news headlines in the pictures below. Starting with the latest publication, they address the gale of defections by Nigerian politicians from opposition political parties into the ruling APC party. The trend has practically turned Nigeria into a one-party political party state with undemocratic presidential dictatorial tendencies.
It is the popular view of socio-political critics, including me, that the politicians who are defecting to President Tinubu’s APC political party are self-serving. They don’t care about the current suffering of Nigerians. They are only positioning themselves for the impending 2027 general elections. They are pschophantic in their songs of praises to President Bola Tinubu, and it is purely for their selfish, corruption-ridden, election-rigging interests. Typically, their FALSE narrative is that all Nigerians in their political constituencies are in agreement with their defection to the ruling APC and their support to President Tinubu.
One thing is certain! Overwhelming majority of the population of Nigeria is suffering under President Tinubu and his APC political party. The masses are crying, while only a minute number of people who benefit from Tinubu’s government are enjoying Tinubu’s bad governance. Meanwhile, state governors and other political players are endorsing Tinubu’s re-election bid for their own selfish gains. The beneficiaries are doing their hypocritical propangada job of praising Tinubu’s governance and campaigning for his re-election in 2027! So, for me, here are some of the key questions for the 2027 presidential race:
(1) Are Nigerian politicians truly as influential among the electorates in their constituencies as they claim, enough to convince the people to vote for a president and a political party that make them suffer and cry? (2) Or, do Nigerian election voting masses have the resolve to override the presumptuous claim of the self-serving politicians?? (3) In other words, will the masses damn the self-serving polticians and vote according to the bad realities of Tinubu’s government which they currently suffer??? (4) Will the suffering Nigerians vote out what they COMPLAIN to be corrupt and incompetent government that make them suffer???? (5) Is the APC alleged and proven rigging machinery powerful enough to undermine the voting will of the people and retain Tinubu in ppwer????? (6) Or, will Nigerians resist and reject any election rigging attempt this time around, vote and force President Bola Tinubu and APC out of power??????

I do agree with all the ideas you have presented in your post. They’re very convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are too short for starters. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.
