Today’s News Pictures And Captions Referred…

Greetings!
Fela Anikulapo Kuti received the Grammy 2026 “Lifetime Achievement Award.” The award actually happened on December 19, 2025, but it has just started making the news. Fela is now on record as THE FIRST ARFICAN EVER TO RECEIVE THIS HONOR. I just got the wind of it, and on behalf of the Afro-Scope Project, it behooves me to accord the late legend this PRELUDE respect that he deserves.

I say “prelude” because Afro-Scope has it in our pipeline to feature Fela in our InfoTainment video documentary production series titled, “Men In African Music.” To give you an idea of what a thrill to expect, visit Afro-Scope.com and search for the title, “Women In African Music.” The late Onyeka Onwenu of Nigeria, the late Miriam Makeba of South Africa, and Angelique Kidjo of Benin Republic are among our features.

You will also find the Afro-Scope “Men In African Music” series where the great legend of reggae music, Jamaican Robert Nesta Marley, is featured in our premiere edition. It’s all there on Afro-Scope.com to thrill ya.
