THEME: Factors Threatening The African Culture In Africa. The “WANNABE SYNDROME” of Africans is one. The African youths of today want to be (Wannabe) more Western than African.
Misguided Christianity is said to be another factor. The “White man” who took Christianity to Africa in the late 1st century AD to the early 2nd century AD went with Cultural Imperialism in addition to some good social reform purposes. Here’s a nagging question: How come the contemporary Africans in Africa insist on upholding the cultural Imperialism of the 1st and 2nd century AD “White man” who took Christianity to Africa, even when the contemporary “White man” admits that his forefathers acted in error or mischief??
