You see the above title about the recent promise by President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria to decentralize the hitherto senselessly centralized “Nigeria Police Force.”
In the past, I discussed and condemned this corrupted federal system of Nigeria where the federating units (states) of the federation are not allowed to run their own independent police departments. Now, President Bola Tinubu has promised to do the right thing for true federalism in policing the country for improved security.
