Greetings!
The first photo and caption below infer that Nigerians are complaining about our National Assembly (Federal Parliament) that obeys every ORDER of President Bola Tinubu. This has become the norm since the inception of the current 10th Assembly. The second photo and caption infer that the parliamentarians often fight during sessions.
The topic this time is the screening and affirmation of President Bola Tinubu’s recent nominees for ambassadorial appointments. The public rage is that President Tinubu’s “Rubber-stamp” senators confirmed all of Tinubu’s nominees so far, despite the loud call to reject a good number of them. The senators did not even as much as bother to ask them any questions to verify if they are qualified for the positions. They abdicated their duties AS OUR CONSTITUTION DEMANDS. In obedience to President Tinubu, his “rubber-stamp” senators simply asked the nominees to, “Take a bow and go, you are confirmed.”
The so-called Representatives of the people of Nigeria in this 10th Assembly chose, from the git-go, to be LAWLESS. They vowed to violate our constitution to represent President Tinubu instead of represent the people of Nigeria as our constitution says. Remember what the CHIEF OF THE LAWLESSNESS HIMSELF, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, declared to the world on TV at the inception of this 10th Assembly. I paraphrase his statement, thus: “Whatever President Tinubu asks, we shall give it to him.”
If I said it once, I said it a gazillion times in past commentaries that Senate President Akpabio is under a bond to do whatever President Tinubu wants. Why? I always answer this question in two steps to avoid legal consequences. Step one is statement of FACT. Step two is legally-correct POSTULATION based on the facts. As I alway boast, I am smart to construct my syntax with legal correctness. So, here I go:
FACT 1: In 2022 or thereabouts, Adams Oshiomhole, then the National Chairman of APC and now a senator said: “If you leave your present political party and join the ruling APC party, your sins are forgiven.” Thenceforth, I am among the Nigerians who dubbed APC a den of criminals. Among the worst sins of Nigerian politicians in power is MASSIVE STEALING OF PUBLIC FUNDS. Oshiomhole himself is an alleged heavy thief of public funds.
FACT 2: Senate President Godswill Akpabio has a case of ALLEGED STEALING OF PUBLIC FUNDS (hundreds of billions of naira) pending at the nation’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). This is a fact, and the case was an open public conversation for a long time. He was not a senator then, and he was invited for questioning by the National Assembly. As soon as he publicly accused members of the parliament on TV of being involved in the alleged stealing, the inquiry died a sudden death, never mentioned again. FACT 2B: Also, the EFCC already arrested and questioned Godswill Akpabio about the stealing allegation in 2022 or thereabouts before he became a senator.
FACT 3: Immediately after his arrest by EFCC, Godswill Akpabio quickly decamped from PDP poltical party to the ruling APC. As had been declared by Adams Oshiomhole, Akpabio’s case at the EFCC was swept under the carpet as soon as he joined the ruling APC party. Hence, to many critics, Akpabio is an “OBVIOUS” beneficiary of APC’s declared policy that whosoever joins APC is free from criminal prosecution. Instead of using the word “Obvious” I choose to use my more legally-correct word. I cautiously say that Akpabio is APPARENTLY a beneficiary of APC’s criminal benevolence of “forgiveness” to alleged criminals.
NOW, MY CONCLUSION POSTULATION:
I hereby postulate (opinions based on FACTS) that Senate President Godswill Akpabio is MOST LIKELY under an obligation to do whatever President Tinubu orders him to do. Call it a blackmail, if you will. Why? If Akpabio disobeys, Tinubu would command the EFCC to reopen Akpabio’s stealing allegation file, prosecute him, and send him to prison. For example, this is apparent in all the approvals of Tinubu’s countless demands for loan approval by the Senate. The confirmation of all of Tinubu’s ambassadorial nominees despite public rejection is the latest of Akpabio’s postulated BLACKMAIL obedience to Tinubu.
Unfortunately, Akpabio seems to have his ways to control the rest of our parliamentarians to obey President Tinubu’s orders. Sometimes, he controls them by falsely declaring that those who agree are more than those who disagree with motions on the floor. “Those who said ‘I’ have it,” he declares even when we all hear the louder voices of those who shout ‘Nay.’ Something similar happens in the House of Representatives.
Whichever way one looks at it all, Nigerians are justified to say that the entire 10th Assembly of Nigeria is a “rubber-stamp” for President Bola Tinubu. If the floor members want to exempt themselves from the lawlessness of their leadership, then they should vehemently disagree and reject the lawless rulings of their leaders. After all, they are not subordinates to their leaders. The leaders are elected among equals, meeeeeeeen!!!
Now, what is your contribution to all the facts and postulations above, people???
