HAS PASTOR ENOCH ADEBOYE GONE COMPLETELY SENILE, OR JUST TRIBALISTICALLY HYPOCRITICAL IN DEFENSE OF PRESIDENT TINUBU?
(June 30, 2026)

IF NONE OF THE ABOVE, THEN WHY WOULD ADEBOYE SAY THAT THE DUTY OF PRESIDENT TINUBU OF NIGERIA IN THE FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM STOPS AT ISSUING ORDERS TO THE ARMED FORCES, WHICH HAVE NOT YIELDED THE DESIRED EFFECTS?

According to Adeboye, after the president of a country, any country whatsoever, issues orders to armed forces to fight insecurity in his/her country, the president’s job is done. If the entire citizens get wiped out by terrorists because the orders are not yeilding good results, the insecurity is no longer the responsibility of the president. It is now the fault and responsibility of the armed forces, not the president.

Tinubu allowed the northern oligarchy to pressure or blackmail him to release 744 convicted terrorists just a couple of months ago. Everybody knows that a large number of those released terrorists will most likely go back into the crime. It has happened before under President Buhari. Pastor Adeboye does not see anything wrong with that. He doesn’t see anything wrong with the fact that, for three long years, Tinubu refuses to prosecute terrorism sponsors who he and all Nigerians know their identities. Instead, he tells us that Tinubu has done well. Mind you, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who committed crimes or wrongs that were one gazillion times less heinous than the atrocities of the 744 released terrorists has been in prison for so many years. Now, if someone says that Tinubu hates the Igbo tribe, Adeboye would accused the person of disrespecting Tinubu.

WHAT A SENSELESS TRIBALISTIC DEFENSE OF A PRESIDENT BY A “MAN OF GOD,” meeeeeeeen!!!

So, I ask Pastor Adeboye: Is it now Harry Agina’s responsibility to come up with alternative or extra means or new strategies to secure the country? Why do people like you condemn Nigerians who demand President Tinubu to resign if he can no longer come up with more strategies to defeat the terrorists?

If you ask me, or even as you ain’t asking me yet, I still tell ya: My own answer to my thematic question-cum-title above must be in the affirmative. Yes indeed, Pastor Enoch Adeboye in his obvious tribalistic, nonsensical, hypocritical, defense of President Tinubu in the USA a couple of days back sounded like an old man who is senile. Sure, he is an old man in age, but has he gone senile? Nope! I don’t think so. His comment was apparently beclouded by senseless tribalistic support to, and defense of President Tinubu who is his Yoruba tribe kin.

I am Harry Agina, and that’s a brief summary of my take on Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s recent comment on the escalating terrorism in Nigeria. Let’s get to my expatiation:

Sensible Nigerians are demanding President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria to change his war strategy for efficiency against terrorism, but not Pastor Adeboye. He tribalistically spewed that nobody should blame Tinubu for the escalating atrocities by terrorists because he has already “issued orders to the armed forces to fight them.” Annoyingly, Adeboye went further to condemn Nigerian critics like me who “expect President Tinubu to put on military uniform and go to fight the terrorists himself.” Anybody who doesn’t appreciate Tinubu’s effort is being unreasonable, Adeboye said. What a senseless, insensitive bunch of crap from a “man-of God,” meeeeeeeen!!!

It makes sense to wonder: Was Pastor Enoch Adeboye defending President Tinubu out of his own sincere belief? Or, is he caught in the hypocritical tribalism that beclouds the judgement of many Yoruba citizens who senselessly support President Tinubu just because he is their fellow Yoruba person. Pastor Adeboye is often accused of being among such tribalistic Yoruba people. He is said to support and defend Tinubu out of senseless tribal sentiments. Some Nigerians reached that conclusion because, they say, Adeboye was not this fair or nice to past presidents of different tribal extraction.

My second consideration is: Has President Tinubu paid Pastor Adeboye heavy sums of money to be his propagandist? This is very possible because Tinubu is aware of the huge senseless respect that African Christians accord their pastors. So, Tinubu believes that Pastor Adeboye can convince his millions of followers to believe in his government. Anyone who knows President Tinubu and his team must know that anything is possible with them. Tinubu can go to any length to launder his terrible image in his desperation for a second term in office despite his woeful failure. This is the same Tinubu who recently ordered his National Security Adviser and Nigeria’s armed forces to downplay the atrocities of terrorists until after his 2027 RE-SELECTION election rigging gives him a second term in office. They could do anything and pay any price to turn a popular pastor such as Enoch Adeboye into a hypocritical propagandist to defend Tinubu’s woeful incompetence.

On his part, I believe that Adeboye can be bought, and I will tell you why, pronto! He is one of the materialistic Pentecostal Christian pastors in Africa who have turned Christianity into a billion dollar business franchise, making a total mockery of the humble unmaterialistic Christ who they claim to serve. I truly used to be proud of Adeboye in the early days of his ministery. He was said to reject a Mercedes Benz gifted to him then. His great reason was that the money would be better used to feed the poor. Now, he sees nothing wrong about brainwashing gullible Christians, both rich and poor, to contribute to his materialistic, extravagant or flamboyant private-jet life style.

Somewhere along the line, the same man who had rejected the gift of a car joined the bandwagon of Nigerian billionaire pastors who own multiple private jets. He got so bad to the point of telling lies to extort his gullible followers. It is a FACT that he emotionally blackmailed them with fake doctrine about the Christian tithe. I quote: “Whoever fails to pay tithe to thw church would never make heaven.” I say that he was desperate for new private jets then. Later, just about two years ago or thereabouts, he publicly apologized that he had lied, and then he asked for forgiveness. My point here is that as Pastor Adeboye grew older, he started degenerating into a man of questionable integrity who money can buy. Thos fact does not escape Nigeria President Tinubu, the master political strategist of corrupt character. My postulation, therefore, is that a materialistic popular pastor meets a corrupt unpopular president in dire need of image laundering propaganda campaign. The possibly paid transaction gave rise to a nonsensical hypocritical comment by the pastor in favor of the president, meeeeeeeen!!!

If that was so, it was a good polirical move by President Tinubu,  and I will tell you why, pronto! Unfortunately, Nigeria is the most ignorant religious country in the world. So-called men of God in Pentecostal Christianity never do any wrong because they are literally worshiped like gods. Even when it is clear to any discerning mind that most of them are the “False Prophets” that their bible talks about, the gullible Christians would kill to defend their so-called honor. This favors Tinubu immensely because millions of Nigerians believe whatever Pastor Enoch Adeboye, even when he tells lies like every other human being that he is, meeeeeeeen!!!

Before you accuse me of disrespecting “a man of God,” please remember Pastor Adeboye’s huge lie using the name of God not very long ago. He’s the same son of the biblical Adam and Eve who brought sin into this world, who manipulates his gullible Pentecostal Christian followers for money. Remember that he said that Christians who do not pay tithe would never make heaven. Afterwards, he confessed that he had lied, and then he asked for forgiveness, admitting that it is not anywhere in the Christian scripture. Before he made that confession, I had condemned his lie with the facts about tithe.

I wanno conclude with my passionate position against misguided and corrupt Christianity in Africa. I have a lot of blogs and vlogs of various perspectives to support my views an facts, right here on the site. The search keywords to find them include “pastor,” “religion” and “Christianity.” Input any of these keywords, and tens of my commentaries will pop up for ya. Here is the link to one of them about Adeboye, and the African monetization and bastardization of Christianity in general: https://afro-scope.com/2025/04/07/here-we-go-again-pentecostal-christian-pastor-enoch-adeboye-of-nigeria-is-at-his-outlandish-lies-again/
