Refer to the news caption below about Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Many critics question the rationality of Nigeria’s president going on vacation as US President Trump begins military intervention against terrorists in Nigeria.
If you ask me, or even as you ain’t asking me yet, I still tell ya, that Tinubu’s act is very insensitive. Nothing justifies his leaving Nigeria’s war on terrorism for US President Trump and jets out on vacation. It’s like the saying about “A man who is busy chasing after rats while his house is on fire.” To me, the only reasonable justification for him to leave Nigeria at this critical time of war against terrorism would be an emergency to save his own life. So, is he off again to French hospitals to stay alive??? This is my cue to bring in another concern of Nigerian critics over disgraceful MEDICAL TOURISM by Nigerian president’s and other rulers.
President Tinubu’s frequent trips to Paris in France is SAID to be majorly related to medical tourism. Whenever he makes his frequent trips to France, it is presumed that he goes to “RECHARGE” his life in French hospitals. This is related to the common knowledge that the man Tinubu does have a long-standing ailment.
NIGERIAN RULERS’ MEDICAL TOURISM VERSUS NEGLECT OF HEALTH SERVICES IN NIGERIA:
The public concern over President Tinubu’s frequent medical trips to France is that he spends huge amounts of dollars in French hospitals while hospitals in his own country are in deplorable states. The funds that Tinubu spends in French hospitals every year can build and equip several hospitals in Nigeria where he can receive medical services along with other Nigerians. Nigerians are dying in droves due to lack of medical facilities in Nigeria. Meanwhile, our rulers and their families jet out to Europe and USA for medical care for ordinary headaches and coughs.
