Hello, folks!
I am Harry Agina, with the premiere edition of my “Commonly Misused Idioms” vlog, which is a part of my series on “Commonly Misused Words, Phrases, Terms, Tenses, and Idioms.”
There are so many English idiomatic expressions that so many people around the world so commonly misuse. In this premiere edition, I have, “Nip it in the bud” for ya.
As I always say, the error that I address in this general series of “Commonly Misused English Words, Phrases, Terms, Tenses, and Idiomatic Expressions” are not just Africans. They happen among all the English speakers of the world, including the owners of the English language. But when it comes to English idiomatic expressions, the errors are more common among Africans than the owners of the English language. “Nit it in the bud” is one of such cases where most Africans that I have heard using it completely misunderstand what it is all about.
