The name Kyari has been a menace to Nigeria for a long time under the “All Progressives Congress (APC),” the federal ruling political party of the country since 2015.

First, it was Abba Kyari during the evil reign of Muhammadu Buhari as president of Nigeria from 2015 to 2023. The “clueless,” disgracefully incompetent President Buhari appointed Abba Kyari as his Chief of Staff in August 2015. It’s on record that during his evil reign as Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari was actually the de facto President of Nigeria. As I said, President Buhari was virtually a dead man walking, just a figurule-head. His own wife did declare this several times on TV. He had little or no idea what was going on in his so-called government. Kyari was totally in charge of the affairs of the country and he was a menace to the country as a highly corrupt de facto president. With his criminal gang of appointees, Kyari looted the country dry, with various other forms of atrocities to boot! In fact, the clueless, virtually walking dead man, President Buhari did at a point confess that Kyari was running the affairs of the country and signing presidential orders without his (Buhari’s) knowledge or consent.

Abba Kyari was so evil that many Nigerians, including yours truly, rejoiced when Covid-19 struck him dead in 2020. I celebrated his demise in a blog that I titled, “Hallelujah, Our God is Great Because Nigeria’s Worst Enemy Abba Kyari Is Dead!!!” The following link takes you to my treatise in a jiffy, where you will see why I called Abba Kyari the worst enemy of Nigeria:

THE CURRENT CONTROVERSIAL KYARI:
This time, I celebrate the politico-corporate demise of another corrupt Kyari, a Mele Kolo Kyari, who was also imposed on Nigerians by the same evil, incompetent ruler called Mohammadu Buhari. The then President Buhari appointed Mele Kyari on July 7, 2019 as the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). NNPC was recently transformed into a Limited Liability Company when Tinubu became Nigeria president, and Kyari continued as its CEO until today’s (April 3 2025) great news of his sack by President Bola Tinubu.

You know, I was beginning to think that President Tinubu had a corrupt reason for retaining Mele Kyari as the CEO of NNPC since his ascension to the seat of the president of Nigeria almost two years ago. Yes, indeed, I could not understand why Tinubu did not sack Kyari as soon as he mounted the seat of president, considering all the gazillion allegations of corruption against the man, meeeeeeeen!!!

Well, as they say, “Better late than never.” Now, President Tinubu has finally done the needful. What remains to be seen is whether he will have the political will to do the NEEDFUL to probe Kyari’s alleged corrupt leadership of the NNPC. And, if he is found guilty, will Kyari be punished as required by the law? Or will the probe go the same way of all the past corruption probes in Nigeria that were swept under the carpet when CORRUPTION FIGHTS BACK and money changes hands. My guess is that a lot of money will definitely change hands to kill any probe or legal trial against Mele Kyari. He most likely has billions of dollars to spend from, if the allegations of looting against him are anything to go by. And, going by the evil level of corruption currently existing among Nigeria’s insatiable money-hungry self-serving lawmakers and judges in our courts, you can be sure that any probe or legal trial of Kyari would be dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, just as I celebrated the death of the evil Abba Kyari in 2020, I hereby celebrate the sack of his namesake, Mele Kyari, from NNPC. He has been very controversial as a very corrupt person under whom NNPC has seen too many allegations of mismanagement, and that’s putting it very mildly.

When President Buhari appointed the two Kyaris, there was confusion and a debate as to whether they were from the same family. But it was later clarified by the presidency that they were from two different Kyari families, both from the same northern region of Nigeria.
