THE MENACE OF COWS IN NIGERIAN STREETS AND THE GRANDSTANDING FCT MINISTER NYESOM WIKE WHO BARKED LIKE A DOG WITHOUT ANY BITE

October 27, 2025

Greetings!
My first reference picture below shows Nigeria’s minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Nyesom Wike, in the most recent of his regular monthly “Media Parleys.” The second picture shows the globally disgraceful sight of cows literally fighting against vehicles and humans for control of Nigerian major roads, nationwide.

The menace of cows on roads and farms in Nigeria escalated during the reign of the late incompetent, senseless, insensitive, “clueless” President Muhammadu Buhari (2015 to 2023). In his terrible ways, Buhari had no qualms in his open love for cows to the detriment of human welfare and human lives. So, he senselessly empowered his Fulani tribe cattle herdsmen to constitute a menace on roads and farms with utmost impunity.

Mind you, I never talk about a few terrible lawless members of the Fulani race in Nigeria without disagreeing with the unjustified stigmatization of the entire tribe as bad people. No tribe in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world is free of such terrible criminal or lawless individuals, including my own Igbo tribe. Unfortunately, among such bad people in the Fulani tribe of Nigeria, was the late President Muhammadu Buhari who, as president, supported and empowered the few bad members of his tribe to commit atrocities.

The menace of cows on roads has regularly caused traffic jams and disastrous vehicle accidents. On farms, the result has been shortage of food in Nigeria because the Fulani cattle herders destroy crops to feed their cattle, with utmost impunity. Sadly, Buhari’s foundation of such atrocities has continued unchecked after his reign.

When Buhari exited the office of the president, Nigerians hoped that the cattle menace would cease. Sadly, this has been one of the UNFULFILLED hopes that President Bola Tinubu had promised Nigerians. Instead of fulfillment of his promise of hope, Nigerians have received hopelessness from President Tinubu, all the way down to ordinary stoppage of the menace of cows on the roads and on the farms, meeeeeeeen!!!

The foregoing was a general prelude to my topic of this commentary. Now, let’s get to my specific focus on the grandstanding Nyesom Wike, Tinubu’s Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. Upon his ascension to the office, one of Wike’s very first official statements was that he would clear the streets of Abuja of all herdsmen and their cows, along with their menace. As usual, he was grandstanding about it, boasting that nothing and no person or power could stop him from removing the disgraceful sight of cattle littering the streets of the capital city of Nigeria. That was over two years ago, but the menace has continued to the present day and up to the present minute, meeeeeeeen!!!

Now, let’s tie it in to Wike’s comment a few days ago during the referenced “Media Pally.” Nyesom Wike was asked how come he has done nothing to fulfill his promise to rid Abuja streets of cows and their herders. His nonsensical, very NONCHALANT and brief response was that his failure is POLITICAL. The son of the biblical Adam and Eve who brought sin into this world did not remember that there’s politics in Nigeria when he DARED anybody to try to stop him as he boasted that he would do the job. Now, he suddenly remembers the CRIMINAL politics of Nigeria as excuse for his failure to enforce the law of the land, meeeeeeeen!!!

The man who prides himself of being fearless and above any power in Nigeria has now COWERED to corrupt “Politics,” as he put it. If you ask me, or even as you ain’t asking me yet, I still tell ya, it’s all about his own personal corruption, meeeeeeeen!!!
