MATTERS ARRISING FROM THE RECENT NIGERIA PRESIDENTIAL ORDER TO WITHDRAW POLICE PROTECTION ESCORTS FROM VIPs

December 11, 2025

Greetings!
Below are pictures of three newspaper headlines. They are all related to the recent Nigerian presidential order to withdraw police and military protection escorts from so-called Very Important Persons (VIPs)

The first headline is a REITERATION by President Bola Tinubu that his order must be obeyed with immediate effect.

Headlines two and three show pictures of Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka, and President Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, respectively. The captions on the pictures talk about Soyinka’s condemnation of the fact that President Tinubu is not leading ( better called RULING) by example. Tinubu’s son Seyi moves about with almost a whole battalion of soldiers, not even ordinary police officers.

Twice upon some past vlogs/blogs, Mr. No Bullshitting had lambasted Wole Soyinka for his failure to speak out against President Tinubu’s corrupt, incompetent rulership. And, for the first time, yesterday the 10th of December 2025, Mr. No Bullshitting hailed Soyinka for finally speaking out against Tinubu’s selfish, corrupt, discrimination in his VIPs- protection order. If you missed that vlog, here’s the link to it for ya: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1FyQMnmoqU/

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s federal lawmakers are complaining, seeking excemotion from the presidential order. They believe that they are “Very, Very, Very Important Persons (VVVIPs)” and should retain their special police protection.

Now, having read the above informative analysis, what do you AGREE or DISAGREE with on the POLICE PROTECTION WITHDRAWAL ORDER, and the matters arrising thereof, namely: (1) Why does Tinubu have to repeat his order before it is obeyed by Nigeria Police? (2) Should our federal lawmakers be exempted from the order?? (3) What do you think about President Tinubu’s discrimination to allow his son Seyi command a battalion of soldiers to protect him??? (4) What do you say about Wole Soyinka’s criticism of President Tinubu after so many years of keeping quiet????
