In 2023, presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu told his followers that “Election success is not served A-la Carte. You must grab it, snatch it, and run with it,” he said. Sure enough, they grabbed, snatched, and ran to him with the votes of Nigerians for the seat of the president of Nigeria, which he didn’t win legitimately.
He has put his “STRUCTURE” in place for the grabbing, snatching, and running with Nigerians’ votes in 2027 to stay in power. Here’re the points for this post:
(1) The picture and caption above congratulate Governor Adeleke of Osun state in southwest Nigeria on his re-election last weekend.
(2) He is in Accord political party, and his opponent is a member of President Tinubu’s federal ruling APC political party, which has all the election-rigging “STRUCTURE” as they call it.
(3) President Tinubu’s APC and his federal government institutions did everything to rig the election against the incumbent Governor Adeleke. They committed every possible lawless atrocity ahead of and during the election to intimidate Adeleke and his party members to rig the election.
(4) But nope, Governor Adeleke still won his re-election bid. Why? The ‘Why’ is the most important element of this analysis, thus:
(5) The people of Osun state FIERCELY RESISTED the election-rigging machinations of President Tinubu’s APC poiltical party.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am totally apolitical, never interested in politics, not in the USA, and definitely never in Nigeria’s demo-crazy. My only involvement in politics anywhere is as a socio-political critic. All that, to say that I have no interest in Governor Adeleke’s re-election. My interest is what it foretells for Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election, thus:
The people of Osun state have just vehemently resisted APC’s election-rigging machinations against their incumbent governor, Adeleke. All Nigerians can do even better to defeat Tinubu’s rigging machinations in the 2027 presidential election. He would not be able to “Grab, snatch, and run with the votes” of Nigerians as he did in 2023 if all Nigerians follow the resistance lead of the Osun state people. His APC governorship candidate tried everything to “grab, snatch, and run with” Osun state votes last Saturday (August 15, 2026). Osun voters were determined that the rigging would not happen, and they successfully resisted it.
I hereby call on all the good people of Nigeria to wake up from their docility in 2027. I urge all Nigerians to copy the determination of the people of Osun state and defend their votes against Tinubu’s rigging forces. I pray for Nigerians to fight against election-rigging for the betterment of my country of origin, Nigeria, in the name of Jesus…Amen!!!
